The Empathic Communicator: A Simulation for Inclusive Leadership:

In this interactive session, leaders will build on foundational concepts to step into an immersive foreign language simulation called Redundancia®.  This powerful, eye-opening exercise offers firsthand experience in navigating communication simulating foreign language speaking, challenging assumptions about connection, clarity, and engagement. Reflect on the experiences of multilingual colleagues, clients, or community members and gain practical strategies to foster more effective, respectful, and culturally responsive environments.

Navigating Intercultural Communication Styles:

Even the most well-intentioned communication can sometimes lead to confusion, resistance, or silence. For leaders, these moments raise important questions: Could culture be playing a role, and could the outcome have been different? In this session, we’ll explore how cultural differences shape communication styles and how those differences show up in professional and community settings. Through real-world examples and practical strategies, you’ll learn how to bridge cultural gaps, align your intentions with your impact, and lead conversations that build trust, clarity, and mutual understanding.

Using Story Circles to Promote Intercultural Understanding:

In this session, leaders will put their intercultural skills into practice through listening exercises based on a methodology developed by Dr. Darla K. Deardorff, an internationally recognized intercultural scholar at Duke University. Designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding, the experience challenges us to truly listen, a skill essential for building trust and meaningful connections with colleagues and peers. This interactive approach offers fresh perspectives that can strengthen collaboration, enhance team effectiveness, and foster a more welcoming work environment.

Calling In Through Connection and Culture

Grounded in Loretta Ross’ Calling In model, this session introduces professionals to a powerful framework for bridging divides and fostering constructive dialogue in the workplace. Through an interactive exercise, participants will practice engaging differences with curiosity and self-awareness, while exploring practical strategies for turning moments of tension into opportunities for connection, learning, and stronger team culture.

Our programs are designed for leaders to pause, reflect, and deepen their understanding of cultural differences and commonalities, enabling them to lead with greater empathy, clarity, and impact.
